If you truly love somebody, let him/her be happy. Cliche? But its true. If you are not in the position to make your loved ones happy, let them go. Let them have the chance to find someone who is able to bring them happiness.
Love does not necessarily mean possession. When it is beyond your means, letting go may be a better way of showing your love for a person. Set him/her free, and set yourself free as well in the process. Sometimes, this is beneficial to both parties or even to others around you.
If you know its impossible, let go now before more hurt is inflicted. But if you think there is a chance, grab it. Don't live to regret it. Sometimes, its better to have tried and get hurt rather than not to have tried at all and live to regret it.
