Went out with a couple of my JC bandmates today to celebrate one of their birthdays. Bought a display trumpet for SB after a mad rush to try to pick a present for him. Bet he must have a dozen of trumpet miniatures at home though but since the others think that its a gd idea to give something of that nature to him, I've got nothing to say. Just hope that he likes it.
Went for dinner at "Taste of Thailand" and although we reached the restuarant at around 6pm, the place was already packed. Can you imagine that? We ended up waiting for around 15-20 mins before getting seated. Serving of food was pretty fast though coz we could order our food whilst waiting to be seated. Must say that the food was pretty tasty and quite affordable. Will most likely visit that place again. Kekekeke....
Played pool after dinner and must say that I'm getting really rusty at it after not playing it for such a long time. Mab & JH played quite well though, esp Mab coz her aiming's pretty accurate.
Its a really sinful day coz we went for ice-cream after that. Wonder how much calories I'd need to burn off from today's intake. Kekekkee.... but well, there's no harm indulging in such pleasures once in a while.
The four of us managed to catch up a little here and there about our lives and what's been happening etc during the course of dinner, dessert and some walking around. Although we didn't talk about the past, I must say that I really miss the time when we were back in PJ band. All the fun and laughter we had during our practices, the scoldings we got from our instructor, the unhappiness when we couldn't carry out plans as scheduled or things didn't run smoothly, the tears of joy and relief when we finally managed to achieve our target as a team. Those were the days. The good old days.
